City Wanderer is a GPS walking tracker, route recorder, and exploration map that turns everyday walks into a real-world discovery game. Start a trip with one tap, put your phone away, and enjoy the journey while the app records your route, distance, and duration in the background.

Reveal visited streets, discover nearby places and hidden corners, and watch your personal map grow. The more you walk, the more fog disappears and the more territory you uncover across neighborhoods, regions, and countries.

Explore One Street at a Time

Discover new places, explore unfamiliar areas, and find streets you may never have noticed before. City Wanderer gives every stroll a purpose and helps you experience familiar surroundings in a new way.

Reveal the Fog of War Map

The map starts covered in fog of war. As you walk, the fog disappears from the streets and areas you visit.

Watch your exploration coverage grow, compare revealed and unexplored territory, and challenge yourself to uncover every street in your neighborhood, city, or region.

Countries, Regions, and Travel

See where your journeys have taken you with a dedicated list of countries and regions.

Check your exploration percentage and revisit memories from previous trips. Whether you are sightseeing in a new country or rediscovering your hometown, every recorded route becomes part of your personal travel map.

Save Places and Landmarks

Long-press anywhere on the map to save a point of interest.

Organize landmarks, viewpoints, cafés, parks, and other memorable places into categories. Keep useful locations close at hand and return to them during future walks and travels.

Stay Active and Motivated

Take a relaxed weekend stroll, explore a new district, or challenge yourself to reveal every nearby street. Each walk expands your map and turns outdoor activity into visible progress.

Edit Recorded Routes

Correct a recorded walk by moving GPS points or removing unnecessary route segments. This helps keep your walking history and map coverage accurate.

Creating a backup before making major route edits is recommended.

Backups and Data Control

Your walking history is stored on your device by default. Export your data to a file to create a manual backup or move your progress to another device. Import the file later and continue exploring from where you stopped.

Automatic daily cloud backup is available as a Premium feature through an in-app purchase.
