Most weather apps lead with a temperature and bury everything else. ClearCast puts the whole picture on one screen: temperature, air quality, UV, pollen (where available), dew point, wind and rain, and includes a plain-language verdict on whether it's worth going out.
WHAT YOU GET
• A verdict, not just numbers. "Extreme UV: stay in if you can." "Air quality: use caution." ClearCast says what the readings mean and why they matter, so you don't have to know what an AQI of 130 feels like.
• Every important weather metric at a glance. Temperature, dew point, precipitation, wind, UV index and air quality on one screen. Each one carries an hourly chart, so you can see the shape of the day rather than just a single number.
• Air quality from real sensors. Current conditions come from actual monitoring stations (WAQI, OpenAQ, AirNow and PurpleAir) wherever they exist, falling back to a model only where they don't.
• Seven day forecast, hour by hour. Tap any reading to open its own screen: how it moves through today, where it peaks, and what it does for the rest of the week.
• Widgets that earn their space. One reading on your Home Screen, all six on a medium or large widget, or any single reading on your Lock Screen. Each shows when its data is from, and says so plainly once it's a few hours old, instead of quietly going stale.
BUILT TO STAY OUT OF THE WAY
• No account. Nothing to sign up for, no email to hand over.
• No ads, no tracking, no analytics.
• Your location is used only to look up conditions near you, only if you allow it, and is never stored or shared.
• Free, all of it. There's an in-app tip jar if you'd like to contribute, but it unlocks nothing, because there's nothing to unlock.
