• Drag from the Finder on your Mac, or copy from the Files app or the share sheet
• Register a folder on a USB drive, SD card, external SSD, or iCloud Drive and read it in place, with no copying
• Connect to Mac file sharing or a NAS over SMB and read across your network. Pages load one at a time, so even large files open quickly. Download any book you want to keep on your device
• Import individual files from cloud apps such as Google Drive that don't allow picking a folder

■ A reader built for comics
• Right-to-left or left-to-right, with automatic two-page spreads (landscape iPhone and iPad switch to spreads on their own)
• Show the cover alone, or shift spreads by one page
• Switch between horizontal paging and vertical scrolling
• A 3×3 or 4×4 tap grid you can assign freely: next page, previous page, menu, bookmark, page thumbnails, and more
• Swipe, pinch to zoom, double-tap, a page slider, and a thumbnail grid of every page
• Reach the last page and open the next volume right away
• Auto page turn, with an option to adjust the interval to the amount of text on each page
• Monochrome and sepia tones, and a choice of background colors
• Save the current view to Photos exactly as shown, zoom and spread included, for use as wallpaper
• On iPad, turn pages with the arrow keys on a hardware keyboard

■ A shelf that's easy to browse
• Home shows Continue Reading, Recently Read, and Recently Added
• Browse by folder, by author, or as one flat list
• List or grid view, sorted by name, title, author, modified date, or date added
• Author, title, and volume are sorted out from file names automatically. Use the built-in naming rules, or make your own from an example file name
• Search across file names, titles, authors, and folder names (hiragana/katakana and full-width/half-width differences are ignored)
• Stock (your to-read list), bookmarks, and history
• Copy, move, delete, rename, and multi-select for batch actions

■ AI tagging and full-text search (Apple Intelligence devices only)
• AI tagging: for file names the rules can't handle, AI reads the author, title, and volume from the file name, folder names, and the text on the cover. It only touches the books you choose, so nothing changes behind your back. You can edit tags by hand at any time
• Full-text search: text drawn on each page is recognized and indexed, so you can find a page by a line of dialogue or a single word. Vertical Japanese text is supported, and results can be shown as page thumbnails
• Everything runs on your device. File names, page images, and recognized text are never sent anywhere

■ Privacy and locking
• App Lock with Face ID / Touch ID or a 4-digit passcode
• Secret Folder: move books to a dedicated area that is not visible in the Files app or on your Mac. Its history and bookmarks are kept separate from your regular shelf
• No personal data or usage data is collected, and there are no ads. The app only goes on the network to reach SMB servers you add yourself

■ Backups
Your shelf data is included in iCloud Backup. You choose in Settings whether files in "On My iPhone" and the Secret Folder are included.

Note: AI tagging is available only on devices that support Apple Intelligence and have it turned on. Text recognition for full-text search uses the image recognition built into iOS.
