CookCanvas AI is a calm, source-traceable AI meal planner for busy parents, working pros, and home cooks. It plans a balanced week of meals, deducts what's already in your fridge, and — uniquely — cites every macro back to a USDA FoodData Central entry you can audit with a long-press.

Why CookCanvas AI

• Weekly meal plan (≤10s): enter your preferences (allergies, daily calorie / protein targets, dietary style) and AI returns 7 days × 21 meals with a balanced daily macro card. Swipe any meal left to swap it; the macro balance stays within ±5%.

• Auto shopping list (LLM cluster · supermarket-aisle order): the week's meals collapse into a clean shopping list grouped by aisle (produce / meat / dairy / pantry / staples), with quantities summed.

• Fridge vision scan: snap your fridge → AI returns the top 10 ingredients with weight estimates and a confidence score. Items already at home auto-deduct from your shopping list. Confidence below 70%? CookCanvas asks for a closer photo instead of guessing.

• Source-Traceable nutrition (differentiator): every macro on every meal cites a USDA food ID. Long-press any value to see the USDA entry — name, serving size, cal / protein / carb / fat — then Reject / Edit / Approve. Rejected sources are down-weighted for your next plan. AI never invents — if a value lacks a citation, it is blocked before it ever renders.

• Nutrition disclaimer firewall (4 languages): a 15-word filter (client + server) blocks weight-loss, diet, medical, or cure language in English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese. Every weekly nutrition report carries the same wellness footer.

• Offline-first: meal plans, history, and your fridge inventory live in on-device SQLite. CookCanvas keeps working at the supermarket without signal.

Privacy

• Fridge photos are uploaded only at the moment you tap Scan, and request bodies are never retained past a 24-hour debug window. They are never used for AI model training.
• AI calls route exclusively through Sanva's self-hosted gateway — no third-party LLM provider holds your data.
• Account deletion is one-tap and cascades within 30 days.
