Cordada

Cordada tells you when the rock grips.

This isn't another climbing guidebook. It's an instrument: it cross-references which way each wall actually faces — worked out from the terrain — with the sun and shade on it at that hour, the last few days of rain against how porous its rock type is, humidity, wind and the dew point. The result is the Friction Score, hour by hour, sector by sector. You'll know whether the early start is worth it, whether the wall will be dry on Saturday, and what time the sun comes off it.

THE CATALOG

· Meetup board: post a plan or join someone else's. Every meetup shows the Friction Score for its spot at its hour, so plans get made with the rock on your side.

· Cordada Match: find a belay partner in your area, by swiping.
· My crew: share your live location only with the people you choose.
· Belay endorsements: what your partners say about how you belay.

· Nearly 4,000 climbing gyms on the map, each with its address and the route to the door.
· Join yours and it shows up under Your gyms. Once five of you from the same gym have joined, your room opens.

Cordada is made by one person, in Spain, with no investors and no outside money. If something breaks or could be better, write to us from inside the app: it gets fixed.
