Countdown: Warranty Tracker

Some dates don't feel urgent until they're gone.

The return window that closed the week you meant to send it back. The warranty that ran out three weeks before the screen cracked. The passport you renewed in a panic. None of them felt like a deadline at the time — which is exactly why they get missed.

Countdown keeps all of them in one list and tells you before it's too late.

SCAN THE RECEIPT

Point the camera at a receipt, or pick a photo of one. Countdown suggests the purchase date, store, price, warranty length and return window. You check each one; nothing goes in until you say so. The receipt is read on your iPhone and never uploaded.

NEVER MISS A RETURN

Add the last day to return something and you'll get a reminder two days before. Open return windows sit at the top of your list until the day passes. Free.

READY FOR THE CLAIM

Keep the store, price and serial number with the item. With the unlock, make a one-page PDF with the dates, details and receipt — ready to send with a warranty or return claim.

EVERYTHING WITH A DATE, IN ONE LIST

A warranty, a passport, an insurance renewal, a vet visit and a trip all live together, ordered by what needs you soonest. Pick a category and the screen asks the right question: when you bought it and how long the warranty runs, or simply when it expires.

- You know the date — pick it
- You know the start and the length — the end date is worked out for you
- It repeats — mark it done and it rolls forward on its own

REMINDERS THAT ARRIVE

Choose how far ahead you want to hear about it: a day, a week, three months. Reminders arrive at 9:00 in your local time, and they work on the free plan.

YOUR DATA, YOUR FILE

Back up every item and photo to one file and keep it wherever you like — Files, your computer. Restoring adds what's missing and never deletes anything. Handy when you move to a new iPhone.
