Daydream Rail 3D

Build your own railway through real Japanese landscapes, ride the train, and make a video with music and running sounds.

Available in 13 languages with an in-app language selector. Your route names, station names and livery text are preserved. Some screenshots show the Japanese interface.

CHOOSE A ROUTE AND AN ACTIVITY
- A lightweight title menu for route creation, driving and video recording.
- Expandable route summaries with regional maps, city names, tracks, stations and default train settings.
- Inspect a route before entering, then switch between editing, driving and recording.
- Place stations, shape curves and compare elevated, ground-level or tunnel suggestions and building overlaps.
- Save and duplicate routes, undo edits, or swap the start and end.

RIDE THROUGH JAPAN
- GSI terrain and aerial imagery, plus Project PLATEAU 3D buildings.
- Urban and scenic samples inspired by Tokyo, Biei, Tateyama, Lake Suwa and the Setouchi islands.
- Manual notching or automatic driving; day, dusk and night; portrait and landscape.
- Select shared vehicles per route; save speed, one to six cars and single/double track for each route.
- Transparent windows with simplified interiors; optional pantographs, overhead wires and poles.
- Choose low, standard or detailed buildings for driving. Scenery loads before departure.

MAKE AND KEEP A FILM
- Four compositions: chase, cab, side window and aerial orbit.
- Landscape 16:9 or portrait 9:16; HD or Full HD; up to five minutes.
- Station-to-station journeys, three original music tracks and vehicle/speed-dependent running sounds.
- Optional mini-map and App Store QR code.
- Export loads the highest available scenery detail in the capture area independently of driving settings.
- Finished videos are saved automatically in the app. Replay, share or delete them from the video library.
- Automatic screen locking is prevented during export. 3D preparation pauses during a manual lock or app switch and resumes on return.

FREE FEATURES AND A ONE-TIME PACK
The standard commuter train, all route creation/editing/driving, moving-camera video recording, car counts, single/double track and electrification settings are free.
The non-consumable Vehicle Customization Pack adds high-speed trains, straddle-beam and suspended monorails, and liveries using colors, patterns, text and locally imported wrap images. Preview designs before buying; view the comparison and localized price from the title menu. Restore Purchases is available. This is not a subscription. The app-name video watermark remains after purchase.

VIDEO PROCESSING
On iOS 26 or later, a supported export mode can continue native video assembly in the background AFTER image/audio preparation. If the operating system interrupts assembly, retry from prepared materials. If the app terminates during 3D preparation, the capture must be prepared again.

Internet access is required for terrain and buildings. Coverage and detail depend on available source data; loading and high-detail exports can take time. Sample routes are fictional or inspired by real locations, not exact reproductions of railway alignments, every station or underground infrastructure.

RECOMMENDED ROUTE SETTINGS
Restore built-in route recommendations while keeping time of day, quality, names, stations and layout. Existing user settings are retained.

OPPOSING TRAINS AND SHARED VEHICLES
Enjoy passing another train on double-track routes. Opposing service with the standard commuter train is free.
Save named vehicles in shared settings and select your train and the opposing train for each route. Car counts inherit each vehicle’s default and can be overridden per route. Saving and using additional train types or customized appearances requires the vehicle pack.
Zoom vehicle previews up to 4×. Trying additional train types and appearance editing in the 3D preview is free.
