DAYWIKA: Vocabulary Learning

Learn the words you want, in a way that fits you better.

DAYWIKA is a vocabulary app that adapts to you as your learning data grows. It learns which words you remember and where you hesitate, gradually adjusting your review intervals. Start with ready-to-learn vocabulary, or add your own words in one go with a CSV/XLSX file.

Languages you can learn: English, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Korean.

■ Your personalized algorithm
We each remember and forget words at different rates. DAYWIKA uses your learning data, including answer accuracy and response time, to adjust the review interval for each word. Words you remember well are spaced further apart; words you often miss get more attention. As you keep studying, your learning routine becomes a closer fit for you.
Study new words and review in “Today,” and set your own review reminder time. Start at your level with a placement test.

Learn through five formats, including quizzes, flashcards and word-building. Meet the same words again in different kinds of questions.

■ Exam Countdown Mode
Study vocabulary selected for TOEIC, TOEFL, JLPT, HSK, TOPIK, DELE, DELF, Goethe-Zertifikat and CILS. See a plan built around your exam date and adjust your daily study amount.

■ Personalized example sentences
Meet words in context with examples that draw on the words you have studied. You can also write your own examples for words you add yourself.

■ Your words, your way
Add words one by one or import them from a CSV/XLSX file. Custom mode lets you study only the words you have added.

■ When you want to learn more than one language
Set a learning goal and study allocation for each language, and manage them together.

■ Your learning, your own portfolio
See the words you have studied as short-, mid- and long-term memory assets. Follow your progress with 12 analytics widgets, milestones and achievements. Some widgets unlock as your learning history grows.

Words and progress saved on your device, plus examples and audio already downloaded, are available offline.

Managing multiple active languages, exam and custom-only modes, a larger personal word list, and some analytics require a paid subscription. Subscriptions renew automatically; price, term and cancellation are shown on the app store purchase screen.
