Paste a link, share a post from TikTok or Instagram, scan a cookbook, or type one in. A recipe from a website is kept word for word: no AI rewriting it, no drift. Then Decadent helps you cook it, shop for it, plan the dinner, and print it like it came from a book.
Your recipes live on your iPhone or iPad. No account, nothing to sign in to.
BRING RECIPES IN
• Websites — paste a link, or share one from Safari. Kept word for word.
• Posts — share a TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Reddit or X post. A linked recipe website is read word for word, free. A recipe written in the post is written up from the post's own words.
• Videos — pick a saved cooking video. Your iPhone listens and reads the words on screen, then Decadent writes up the recipe. The video stays on your iPhone.
• Read photos — pick up to 20 screenshots and get every recipe out of them.
• Scan — point the camera at a recipe card or a cookbook page. Read on your device, free.
• Write your own, or search the web inside the app by site or by craving.
• Works with no signal — your recipes and photos are kept on your device.
COOK AND SHOP
• Cook mode — each step fills the screen on a paper card, big enough to read across the counter. A "Check ingredients" card lists every ingredient with a tick box.
• Timers in the step — tap a time and a timer starts. Its bell rings even on silent, and on the Lock Screen if you allow it.
• Hands free — turn on Listen and say "next", "back", "start timer" or "read". Nothing you say leaves your device.
• Watch the video — a recipe saved from a post plays its video on the recipe page.
• Groceries — one list, sorted by aisle, with a map of the stores near you.
• Nutrition — calories, protein, carbs and fat for each serving, worked out with USDA food data when a page gives none. Set your targets and see the recipes that fit.
PLAN AND PRINT
• Dinner menus — pick the dishes and the day. Decadent says what to start first and makes one grocery list. Print the menu in six styles.
• The family cookbook — pick a cover and a page style, and get one PDF book with chapters, contents and page numbers.
• Recipe cards — twelve styles to print or share as a PDF, and blank cards to write by hand.
KEEP AND SHARE
• Three views — List, Compact or Cards.
• Hold any recipe — add it to the cookbook, a collection or a menu.
• Collections — Mains, Soups, and your own.
• Share your library — send every recipe to a friend as one file.
WHY WORD FOR WORD MATTERS
Most recipe apps run your recipe through an AI that rewrites it. Quantities shift. The note your grandmother wrote in the margin disappears. Decadent reads a recipe website with its own parser, so what you saved is what the cook wrote. When a recipe is typed right into a web page, Apple Intelligence sorts the page's own lines as a fallback, word for word. When a recipe is only in a post, a video or a photo, Decadent+ writes down only what it reads, never a guess.
FREE, AND WHAT COSTS
Free: unlimited website imports and on-device scans, posts that link a recipe website, cook mode, Nutrition, menus, groceries, collections, sharing, and three card styles.
• Decadent Pro, $14.99 once: the other nine card styles, the cookbook PDF and printed menus. Family Sharing on.
• Decadent+: Claude reads what your device cannot, like handwriting, screenshots, and recipes in posts and videos. 25 photo scans and 25 page, post and video reads a month. Three free reads first. $24.99 a year or $4.99 a month, renews until you cancel in your Apple Account settings.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No analytics. No tracking. When you import a link, your device opens that page itself. The only things sent to us are the recipes Decadent+ reads for you, and we keep none of them.
