DeutschStart Kids

Discover German with Lumi – for multilingual children around ages 4 to 8.

DeutschStart Kids helps children practise German from kindergarten to school entry. Short rounds combine lovingly drawn pictures, words with article and plural, child-friendly example sentences, listening games and little stories. Every word and sentence is recorded in a warm, natural voice.

• 57 lessons with more than 500 words: family, animals, food, clothes, playground, body, vehicles, feelings, nature, seasons, jobs, starting school and more
• Over 400 illustrations in one consistent, child-friendly style
• For every new word: article, plural and a short example sentence to listen to
• 7 game types: picture matching, listening, stories, rhymes, syllables, first sounds and sound recognition
• Lessons neatly grouped by level, with a rotating 10-minute daily path
• Translations for parents in Turkish, English and Arabic (some older lessons still fall back to English in Arabic)
• No ads, no analytics SDKs, no child accounts; learning progress stays on this device
