Instead of asking a young person to self-report - often impractical for younger people - it guides one of their responsible adults through a structured observation of the young person’s natural behaviour: the things they gravitate to when no one's watching, when no rules apply, and nothing is expected of them.

HOW IT WORKS
- Choose 4 Descriptions (quick, ideal for younger subjects) or 12 Questions (more nuanced, better for young people with a longer behavioural history)
- Reflect on broad patterns from everyday life - no notepads required
- Get a suggested four-letter Personality Type, then read the full profile and see if it fits
- Not sure? Compare neighbouring types, get a second opinion from another adult who knows the young person, or revisit in a few months as they grow
- Then reflect on what information in the extensive descriptive sections may be beneficial

WHAT THE RESEARCH SAYS
Developmental psychology backs the core idea: parents and other observers can spot real, coherent personality patterns in young people from everyday behaviour, and some patterns - especially sociability and self-regulation - show meaningful continuity from being young into adolescence and adulthood. Other preferences take longer to become clear. The app was built to reflect that honestly, not to oversell what observation alone can tell you.
