『GoldWatch』は、あなたが所有している腕輪の作品から、時を刻む円環が生まれるAR体験を提供するアプリです。腕輪をつけてカメラをかざせば、時刻を知ると同時にどこでも現代芸術を体感できることができます。
金は他の工芸資材などとは違い、私たちの見えぬ商流の中で精製されています。その金はどこから発掘され、どの様に取引されているか、延棒の姿になってしまうと、それは私達の想像力を奪ってしまいます。それは、少年兵が武装して奪い合った金かもしれません。途上国で不当な賃金で採掘されたものかもしれません。その様な金が私たちの身の回りに確実に存在するのです。
KOGEI Next は金属という工芸素材を見直すため、「都市鉱山」と呼ばれる、廃棄されるPC や携帯電話などから採集・精製した希少金属を使ったアート制作を行うプロジェクトをスタートします。
今後は金だけではなく、他の金属においても都市鉱山から再資源化し、アーティストが使用できる素材にすることを計画しています。社会、消費者、作家の皆が循環を体験する、新時代の制作を模索します。
