Donja Gradina Memorial

Donja Gradina Memorial is the official digital guide to the Memorial Site Donja Gradina in Bosnia and Herzegovina, one of the largest memorial complexes for the victims of the Second World War in the territory of the former Yugoslavia and a place of remembrance for the victims of the Jasenovac concentration camp system.

The app lets every visitor explore the memorial complex independently, at their own pace, regardless of the weather or the availability of a guide.

FEATURES
• Interactive satellite map of the memorial complex with your current position and marked walking paths • 16 points of interest, each with historical text, archival photographs and recorded audio narration • Narration in Serbian, English and Romani • Arrival alerts: a soft sound and vibration when you reach a point of interest, even with the screen off • Visit progress: the locations you have visited are marked as you walk • All texts, audio and photographs are built into the app, so the tour works without mobile data on site • Interface in Serbian and English

You can also open any location from home and read or listen to its story without being at the memorial site.

PRIVACY
The app has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics. Your location is used only on your device, to show your position and to detect nearby points of interest, and it is never shared with anyone.

The project was initiated by the Public Institution "Memorial Site Donja Gradina", Kozarska Dubica.
