Double Step: Maze Escape

You take one step. The beast takes two.

Double Step is a pocket maze puzzle with a simple rule and a sharp edge. Every turn you move one square, then the beast charges two. It is faster than you, but it is not smarter: it always rushes straight at you, so you can lure it into walls, slip past, and reach the golden exit.

THREE BEASTS, THREE HABITS
The bull charges sideways first. The spider drops down the columns. The ghost drifts straight through walls, one step at a time. Learn each habit, then set the trap.

500 LEVELS, 20 CHAPTERS
Every level is verified by a solver before it reaches you: there is always a way out, and the beast always matters. Difficulty climbs one notch at a time, from a 4x7 meadow to 6x11 labyrinths with two beasts hunting you at once.

NEVER LOSE A LEVEL
Deadly squares glow red before you step on them. Any move can be taken back, as many times as you like. Stuck? Ask for a hint and the game shows the next safe step.

TAP OR SWIPE
Tap a glowing arrow beside your hero, or swipe in any direction. Tap the hero to wait a turn and let the beast walk into a wall.

FOUR WORLDS
Meadow, Beach, Candy and Volcano. The sky over the meadow changes as you travel: bright morning, golden afternoon, dusk, then a night full of stars.
