EarMemo: Offline Audio Player

EarMemo is an offline audio player for iPhone and iPad, made for the DRM-free MP3 and M4B audiobooks, lectures, and downloaded podcasts you already own. It remembers where you stopped and lets you save notes at exact timestamps.

Jump between embedded audiobook chapters. Tap a bookmark or note in EarMemo to revisit that moment. With EarMemo Pro, export your timestamped notes as Markdown files and manually add them to Obsidian or another Markdown editor.

No account, ads, or subscription. EarMemo stores your audio and notes on your device and does not upload them.

Built for long-form audio

· Continue Listening keeps every book and episode right where you left off
· Audiobooks with chapters (M4B and more) show their table of contents; skip by chapter, and see progress and time left for the chapter or the whole book
· Bookmarks and notes are anchored to exact timestamps
· Import an entire folder while preserving its subfolder structure
· Drag files in from any desktop browser over local Wi-Fi — no cable, no iTunes
· Bring in local audio files: MP3, M4A, M4B, AAC, FLAC, WAV, AIFF, and CAF
· Import MP4, MOV, or M4V recordings and listen to their audio tracks
· Works with DRM-free files; copy-protected purchases can't be imported
· A calm, reading-inspired interface designed for long listening sessions

Remember what you hear

· Drop timestamp markers while listening
· Keep your phone in your pocket: in Settings → Headphone Controls, set Next or Previous (AirPods Pro: press twice or three times) to Bookmark Here, and a press on your headphones marks the moment with a short chime
· Add notes to the moments that matter
· Tap any note to return to the original audio
· After revisiting a note, pick up right where you left off
· Export timestamped notes as Markdown files for Obsidian or another Markdown editor (Pro). Merged files group notes by episode, and by chapter for books with chapters, with whole-book times next to chapter times.
· Keep your notes even after removing the original audio

Made for iOS

· Sleep timer that can stop at the end of a chapter, shown as a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and, on supported iPhones, in the Dynamic Island
· Siri and Shortcuts for play, pause, skip, and bookmarking
· Lock Screen, AirPlay, and Bluetooth controls
· VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, and Dark Mode

Free to start. One-time unlock.

Importing, resume playback, sleep timer, speed control, search, and note-image sharing are available for free.

The free version lets you listen to 1 album and try up to 10 audio tracks in total. Timestamp markers are unlimited, and 5 of them can include written notes.

A single one-time purchase unlocks unlimited albums, unlimited written notes, and Markdown export. No subscription.
