Edelvox: Intermediate German

Edelvox is for learners stuck at the intermediate plateau (best for A2 and above). You understand many of the grammar rules. The hard part is using them automatically when you actually have to speak.

The core method is shadowing, the way polyglots train: listen to a sentence and say it back until it feels natural. Edelvox gives you both sides of it: a free library of scenarios at your level, and, with Premium, your own corrected sentences. You write something real, we correct it, and you say it aloud until the right form comes without effort.

The trainers, practice library, grammar reference, and flashcard review are free, with no limits. The personal loop - corrections, custom drills, and conversations about your own writing - is Premium, and your first corrections are free to try.

WRITE (Premium)
Write or dictate anything: your day, an email, the thing you wish you'd said. It doesn't need to be correct - that's what the corrections are for. Unknown word? Say it in English and we'll translate and save it. Every correction comes with a plain explanation, an English translation, and new words with color-coded genders. Then shadow your corrected sentences until they come out smoothly.

PRACTICE LIBRARY (Free)
40+ scenarios from A1 to B2: at the restaurant, the doctor's visit, apartment hunting, job interviews, making friends. Many are dialogues built around one grammar structure, so you hear the pattern working in real life. Shadow them as often as you like, audio included.

DRILL (Free)
Some things must be automatic, not reasoned out mid-sentence. Ten rapid-fire trainers: articles, cases, conjugation (incl. Präteritum), adjective endings, prepositions, verb-preposition pairs, possessives, participles, pronouns, plurals. Every answer shows a one-line why, and one tap expands the full plain-English rule. Offline, unlimited reps. Premium adds custom drills: name any topic and we write a fresh passage highlighting that structure.

CONVERSE (Premium)
One conversation a day with an AI partner about what you wrote. Its questions bring back your words, and grammar structures you've been practicing get highlighted as you use them.

GRAMMAR (Free)
A full reference organized like a course, from nouns and cases to the subjunctive: plain-language rules, charts, real examples, and writing prompts that feed the correct-and-shadow loop. The matching trainer is one tap away.
