Ember to Orbit is a turn-based strategy game ("4X": explore, expand, exploit, exert) played on our planet as it was twelve thousand years ago: the sea rises over the centuries, fords disappear, the green Sahara dries out, and every game begins in a region drawn at random.
TEN AGES, ONE GAME
From knapped flint to rockets, then to the Moon and Mars: your people keeps its name, its cities and its treaties from one age to the next. Villages change before your eyes, from a hamlet of huts to the city of 2100.
AN EARTH TO DISCOVER
The world stays under the clouds until you explore it. Your maps age, are traded and sold; rumours point in a vague direction.
EIGHT PEOPLES, LIVING CLANS
Eight imaginary peoples, each with its own way of life: builders, riders, seafarers, merchants, scholars, forest wardens, smiths, storytellers. Clans of raiders, nomads or fishers can be fought, bought off or welcomed in.
TO THE STARS
In the space age, launch to Mars in the windows the calendar sets, and keep a colony alive on its air, water, energy and shelter until it stands on its own.
AT YOUR PACE, ALONE OR WITH OTHERS
The Chronoscope replays your whole story on the globe. Daily World Map, six scenarios with medals, Reshuffled Earth, Total fog and Armed peace options. Several on one device, on a local network, or online: remote games, the Relay of Ages (one people passed from hand to hand) and the ranked Duel of Ages.
A SOURCED ENCYCLOPEDIA
Every discovery, unit and building points to real history, with its sources.
HONEST
A free demo with no time limit: the Great Game through the first three ages. The full game unlocks with a single purchase — every age, every mode and the worlds to come. No ads, no subscription, no energy, no timers.
Rating sought: PEGI 12 — battles without shown violence. The game's peoples are fictional.
