Description
EMDRise is a self-directed EMDR app that puts a structured EMDR process at your fingertips, allowing you to work through distressing memories in your own time, on your own device.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based psychological approach recognised in NICE guidelines for the treatment of trauma and PTSD. EMDRise follows the standard eight-phase EMDR protocol, adapted into a guided, self-directed format.
The EMDRise journey is supported by therapist-designed video guidance created by qualified EMDR therapists. Within the app, you are guided by a virtual EMDR guide who walks you step by step through each phase of the process. These guides provide structure and pacing, but they are not acting as therapists and do not provide live or personalised clinical support.
How EMDRise works
EMDRise takes you through a complete EMDR session flow, including preparation, memory targeting, reprocessing, installation, body scan, and safe closure. Clear prompts and therapist-designed guidance help you move through each stage in sequence.
During reprocessing, you can choose from multiple forms of bilateral stimulation:
* Visual bilateral stimulation using smooth eye movements * Auditory bilateral stimulation using alternating left and right tones * Tapping-based bilateral stimulation
You can adjust speed and pacing to suit you. Sessions are designed to be completed in one flow, or safely paused and resumed later.
If a session is paused, EMDRise guides you into safe closure and aftercare before returning you to the home screen. When you are ready, you can continue and complete the remaining phases.

Subscriptions
EMDRise is available via subscription with a free trial. Payments are processed securely through Apple In-App Purchases. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the trial or billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings.
