Learn Anatomy Like Never Before with Epi - Anatomy
Epi - Anatomy is a unique educational app designed by educators and clinicians to enhance anatomy learning through multisensory engagement. The app empowers users to employ anatomical illustrations and schematics as guides for drawing, coloring and labeling to learn key anatomical structures. Learning anatomy with Epi makes the process interactive, enjoyable and highly effective. All anatomical illustrations and schematics have been professionally reviewed for accuracy and are referenced allowing learners to further explore the topics.
Each anatomical structure is presented in five formats, with gradually reducing detail to support progressive learning and memory testing: - Anatomical Illustration: A detailed, realistic representation of anatomical structures focusing on the placement and relationships of bones, tissues, nerves, blood vessels, etc. This version provides the learner with a depiction to better understand and visualize what is often too complex for words. - Analogous Colored Schematic (Labeled): A simplified, color-coded, and labeled rendering of the anatomical illustrations for easier learning. - Black and White Schematic (Unlabeled): A black and white rendering of the colored schematics to allow learners to color and label structures with their personal touch and active recall. - Dotted-Line Schematic (Tracing): A dotted-line rendering of the black and white schematic to guide learners in creating the schematic, reinforcing memory through repetition. - Simplified Template: An outline with missing details, challenging learners to reconstruct and label structures from memory to ensure they have a solid understanding and knowledge of anatomical relationships.
Active engagement is at the heart of Epi’s design. Educational research shows that drawing and coloring improves retention and spatial understanding more effectively than passive studying. By visually reconstructing anatomical structures, Epi enables learners to solidify their knowledge, improve spatial awareness, identify areas of weakness and build confidence in their mastery of anatomy.
Epi - Anatomy—where science meets creativity and learning comes to life.
