Description by Omnivorous Labs LLC(from the App Store)
Discover your eye dominance with precision using our camera-based finger-pointing methodology. Unlike traditional left/right tests, Eye Dominance Evaluation provides quantitative measurements on a -1 to +1 scale, helping you understand the strength of your eye dominance and track changes over time.
PERFECT FOR:
• Shooting Sports: Optimize your stance for rifle, shotgun, pistol shooting, and archery • Photography: Understand which eye naturally aligns with your viewfinder • Ball Sports: Improve batting, golf, and tennis performance by aligning with your dominant eye • Vision Training: Track eye dominance changes during vision therapy or training
HOW IT WORKS:
Our app uses a simple but accurate finger-pointing test with camera capture. Have a friend take photos of you pointing at the phone camera with each hand, then mark your pupils and fingertips on the images. The app analyzes the alignment using head-centric coordinate normalization to calculate your dominance index.
KEY FEATURES:
• Quantitative Results: Get precise measurements, not just "left" or "right" • Strength Tracking: Monitor how your eye dominance changes over time • Test History: Review all past tests with detailed analysis • Trend Analysis: View aggregate statistics and consensus scores across multiple tests • PDF Export: Generate comprehensive reports for your records • Privacy-Focused: All data stored locally on your device • Easy to Use: Clear step-by-step instructions guide you through each test
WHY QUANTITATIVE MATTERS:
Traditional tests (Miles test, Porta test, hole-in-card method) only tell you which eye is dominant. This imaging based approach measures HOW dominant, giving you actionable insights for sports, photography, and vision training applications.
