FAFF - News Reader Playlists

faff (verb, British slang): to waste time on trivial, unimportant things.

Faff about. We'll read you the news.

FAFF turns the sources you choose into a playlist you can read or listen to. Press play and FAFF reads each story aloud in a natural voice, moving from one to the next hands-free while you drive, walk, or cook. Or read along as the words light up.

BUILT FOR IPHONE DUO
• Reading Room: your stories on the left page, the one you're reading on the right
• Open it like a book: articles become facing pages, with the TL;DR on the first page
• Stand it on a table and FAFF becomes a news radio, with Up Next, a sleep timer, and type big enough to read across the room
• Close to Listen: close it mid-story and carry on by ear from the paragraph you were on
• Close it and carry on: whatever you're reading or hearing continues right where you were

PICK YOUR SOURCES
• Start with 130+ hand-picked free sources across News, Tech, Business, AI, Programming, Science, Design, Food, Gaming, Culture, Lifestyle, and Sports

• Name your own categories, arrange them your way, and star up to six shortcuts

LISTEN TO ANY ARTICLE
• Every story can be read aloud, with each word highlighted as it's spoken
• Partway through a story? Tap Listen from Here and FAFF starts reading where you are
• Press play on Today's Picks for a short spoken rundown of the day, then each story
• Sounds best with a Siri voice: FAFF shows you how to set one up in a minute
• Skip back 15 or ahead 30 seconds from the app, the Lock Screen, or your headphones
• Pick up exactly where you stopped
• Keeps playing in the background and on the Lock Screen, with controls on Apple Watch
