Description
FinishProof is a finish-line capture tool for coaches and race officials. Its job is simple: when a runner crosses the line, you tap — the app records their exact time and saves a photo. That photo and timestamp become your proof when an official clock misses someone or fails entirely.
What the app does:
-Records the exact finish time (to the hundredth of a second) and a full-resolution photo on every tap — the camera preview never freezes so you never miss the next finisher -Shows a visual timeline of all finishers so you can navigate, review and identify runners quickly -Lets you tag bib numbers and names after the race while reviewing photos -Tag each session with an event name and course marker (5K, 10K, Finish Line, etc.) that appear on shared photos and in the PDF report -Zoom controls to frame the finish line precisely before and during the race -Supports gun time offset so recorded times match the official clock -Generates a PDF results sheet with photos, times and bibs for every finisher -Exports full sessions (.fprace) for sharing between devices via AirDrop, WhatsApp or Mail -Imports sessions shared by other FinishProof users — receive a complete race session including all photos and annotations
What it does NOT do:
-It is not a chip timing system or a replacement for official race infrastructure -It does not broadcast live results or sync to any timing platform -It does not register runners or manage start lists -It does not recognize faces or bib numbers automatically — it gives you the photo evidence and the tools to identify runners yourself, filling the gaps when the official timing system misses someone
Perfect for:
-Cross country meets where timing equipment is shared or limited -Parkrun events where a backup record keeps everyone accountable -Road races and community 5Ks and 10Ks with volunteer timing crews -Triathlons where the run finish is a secondary timing point -Any race where you want a photographic record of every finisher
