Das Amt für Wald und Wild Kanton Zug bietet eine mobile Applikation zur Erfassung von Fischerei-Ereignissen sowie Fängen an.

Die App ermöglicht Fischern das Erfassen ihrer Fänge online. Das Ausfüllen der Fangstatistik in Papierform entfällt. Zudem bietet sie eine Sofort-Auswertung über persönliche Fischerei-Ereignisse.

Mit der App können gegenüber der Statistik in Papierform genauere Informationen zu den fischereilichen Aktivitäten erfasst werden:

- Datum und Dauer der Aktivität
- Gefangene Fischarten
- Grösse des Fisches
- Grund der Freilassung von Fischen
- Leerfänge

Leerfänge sowie Datum und Dauer der Aktivität werden über eine sogenannte Start-/Stopp-Funktion automatisch erfasst. Diese Funktion ermöglicht es, den CPUE (Catch per Unit Effort) künftig detaillierter und somit aussagekräftiger zu berechnen. Als weitere Optionen können die Fischer die Grösse des Fisches und den verwendeten Köder angeben. Die persönlichen Fangaktivitäten werden in einer individuellen Fangstatistik dargestellt (z.B. Anzahl Fische, befischte Gewässer oder Erfolgsquote etc.).
