FlareSpot is a map for discovering festivals, live shows, fireworks, local events, and what people are sharing from those places right now. Even when you have nowhere in particular to go, it gives you a reason to open the map, look around, and see what’s happening.
◆Say good morning to Moo and grow plants◆
Join everyone in saying “Good morning” and help wake Moo up. Participate in the greeting to receive a plant seed. Plant it on the map, water it, and watch it grow over time. You can also water sprouts planted by other people and help them along.
■Discover places and events
Move around the map to explore neighborhoods, or use the Event Calendar to find festivals, fireworks, and local events. For supported festivals, you can also check venue stages and timetables, and discover places to visit before or after a show.
Search makes it easier to discover photos that people have posted in the past and see what different places have looked like over time.
AI Scouter shows cards with notable places, events, and what’s happening now or coming up next in the area currently displayed on the map.
■See what people are sharing right now
Browse public photos and short posts on the map, and react with hearts or replies. You can also share photos, stickers, animated stickers, emoji, and short messages of your own.
In supported areas, Look Around lets you check the surrounding streets before posting, making it easier to confirm that you’re sharing to the place you intended.
Likes and replies you receive can be viewed from Notifications.
■Save places and memories
Photos posted to a spot are collected into that place’s album. Your own posts and places you’ve lit up can be revisited in My Flare. You can also collect achievement badges as you explore.
Create a Glow Card that combines a photo, location, and glowing map into a single image, or make a short Flare Movie that connects your photos with the map. Flare Movie includes three themes: DIARY, QUEST, and LOG. Finished images and videos can be saved and shared.
■Use the map your way
Switch between Now Voice and AI Scouter to experience the same place from different perspectives. You can also choose to have the app open at your current location.
Whether your day starts with a simple “Good morning” or takes you out to an event, we hope FlareSpot helps you discover something new on the map you use every day.
Fireworks and local event information is primarily shown around the area currently displayed on the map. Supported areas and event coverage are gradually expanding, starting with the Kanto region of Japan.
