THREE WAYS TO MAKE A DECK

Generate with AI. Give it a topic, your lecture notes, a PDF or a photo of a page, then choose how many cards you want and how deep to go — beginner, intermediate or advanced. You get a draft in under a minute and you edit it before anything is saved.

You can throw most things at it: a single line like "the nitrogen cycle", three pages of notes you typed in a lecture, a chapter you photographed, or a PDF a lecturer handed out. It reads what you give it and writes the questions.

Build it yourself. A fast editor that stays out of the way: add a card, type both sides, move on. Attach an image to either side when a picture explains it better than a sentence.

Import what you already have. Paste a CSV, a TSV, or plain question-and-answer text and the format is worked out for you. Cards you made somewhere else don't have to be retyped.

TWO WAYS TO STUDY

Flashcards. Flip a card, decide whether you knew it, swipe to the next one. Rate each card as you go and your progress builds deck by deck.

Quiz mode. Multiple choice drawn from your own deck, scored as you go, with right and wrong shown straight away. It's the same material tested a different way, which is usually when you find out what you actually know.

A LIBRARY OF THOUSANDS OF DECKS

Browse decks other people have published — anatomy, Spanish verbs, music theory, exam material, and a great deal else. Search the whole collection, not just what's on screen. Study anything you find without even making an account, or save the decks you want to keep coming back to.

It's a good place to start when you don't want to write a deck from scratch, and a good way to find out how other people broke a subject down.

SHARE WHAT YOU MAKE

Send a deck to a classmate with a link, publish it to the Library for anyone to use, or print it out when paper is genuinely easier. Your decks stay yours: unlist or unshare at any time.

IT WORKS WITH THE WEB APP

Sign in with the same flashcards.ai account you use in your browser and your decks are simply there. Write a deck on your laptop where typing is easier, then study it on the bus. Edits sync both ways.

STUDY WITHOUT A SIGNAL

Your decks live on your phone, so a plane, a train tunnel or a bad signal doesn't stop you. Ratings you give while offline are saved and sync as soon as you're back online.

SMALL THINGS THAT HELP

Full dark mode, matched properly rather than inverted. Tag decks by subject and search your own library. See at a glance how many cards a deck holds and how far through it you are, and how many cards you've reviewed overall. Reorder cards, delete the ones that aren't earning their place, and pick up a deck exactly where you left it. Sign in with Apple, Google or email, whichever you prefer.
