Franzie: Learn Languages

Learn German, English, Spanish, French, Italian or Portuguese in a story that is yours, with a tutor who remembers you. Pick a genre, add yourself or your friends, and Franzie writes an illustrated story at your level that continues chapter after chapter. Then read, listen and take part as it unfolds.

FRANZIE REMEMBERS YOU
Franzie plays every character you talk to, and she keeps short notes as you go: what you are working on, what you now do well and the choices you made in your stories. She brings them back in later roleplays and chapters, and your chapter summary tells you what has changed. You can see and delete her notes any time.

YOUR STORY, YOUR LEVEL
Choose a genre like cozy mystery, summer trip, romcom or urban fantasy, or make the story about your own life. Every chapter is written for your course and level, from complete beginner upward, and opens with its own illustration.

READ AND LISTEN
Narration starts with each scene and highlights every word as it is read. Pause, replay or slow it down whenever you like. Tap any word, in the story or in an exercise, for its translation, its forms and a grammar explanation in context.

TAKE PART IN THE STORY
Each chapter weaves five to eight activities into the plot, chosen from 36 exercise types: listen for details, build sentences, complete messages, make story choices and more. In roleplays you talk with the story's characters, played by Franzie, typing or recording your reply. Ask for a sentence starter when you are stuck, or "How do you say?" when you need a word.

LEARN FROM YOUR OWN ANSWERS
Get feedback on what you wrote or said, with a better way to say it when there is one. Finish a chapter to see a personal summary and your results.

KEEP YOUR WORDS
Save useful words as you read and practice them in scheduled reviews, even offline.
