Fridge — Receipt Tracker

Fridge turns grocery receipts into a fridge that warns you. Scan a receipt, get an inventory with predicted expiration dates. Get a notification two days before food goes bad. Save $1,500/year on food waste. Private, offline, no upload.

Snap a Whole Foods, Walmart, Costco, Trader Joe's, or Kroger receipt and Fridge fills your inventory automatically. Every item gets a storage-aware expiration date based on USDA general-storage guidance. Two days before something is about to expire, you get one quiet, aggregated reminder -- no daily notification storm. When you finish a carton of milk, the next shopping trip already has it on the list.

WHAT FRIDGE DOES

• Receipt OCR -- five hand-tuned merchant parsers plus a generic fallback. Auto-merges duplicate lines. Skips non-food items like trash bags or paper towels.
• Storage-aware expiration -- the same chicken lasts 2 days in the fridge and 9 months in the freezer. Move an item between locations and Fridge re-estimates.
• Daily 9 AM digest + 2-day-ahead per-item alerts. iOS aggregates them so you don't get blasted.
• Inventory list, grid, and "expiring soon" buckets. Filter by fridge, freezer, pantry, or counter.
• Smart shopping list -- items you run out of quietly appear as suggestions; share via Messages with one tap.
• Insights -- monthly waste-vs-savings breakdown plus your top wasted items.
• Widgets -- small, medium, large home-screen widgets show what's expiring without opening the app.
• Siri shortcuts -- "Add bananas to Fridge", "What's expiring soon?", "Add olive oil to my shopping list".
