Fruit Blast: Line 98 Match 5

Fruit Blast is a fruit puzzle built around one move you will not find in a match 3 game.

You do not swap two neighboring tiles. You pick up a fruit, tap any empty square on the board, and it travels there along an open path. If every route is blocked, that fruit stays where it is. Plan the road, not just the match.

HOW IT PLAYS

Line up five fruits of one color to clear them. A line counts in any direction: across, down, or diagonally. Diagonal matches arrive from the second level onward, so there is always one more angle to check before you commit to a move.

Three new fruits drop onto the board after every move you make. Clear space faster than the board fills, because when no empty square is left, the round is over. There is no timer and no move limit. The only pressure is room to move, which makes this a puzzle game you can play slowly, with one hand, on a commute or in bed.

WHY IT IS NOT ANOTHER MATCH 3 GAME

Most matching puzzles ask you to swap two tiles that already touch. Here the whole board is your move. A fruit in the bottom corner can cross to the top edge in a single turn, as long as a clear path of empty squares runs between the two. Wall that route off and it is gone.

The difference changes how you think. In a match 3 game you scan for pairs. In Fruit Blast you scan for space, for routes, and for the match five that a route makes possible. It is a logic puzzle and a brain teaser wearing the clothes of a casual matching game.

If you have played line 98, lines 98 or color lines before, the rhythm will feel familiar straight away. If you have not, the first two levels teach you everything you need to know.
