This edgy downtown area, just blocks from the beach, exemplifies California’s thriving art scene. Graffiti-inspired street art and dozens of contemporary outdoor murals adorn gentrified warehouses in Santa Barbara’s bygone industrial district. The Funk Zone is now home to some of Santa Barbara's restaurants, hip eateries, coffee shops, wine tasting rooms, gourmet food trucks, craft microbreweries and cocktail bars, unique shops and boutiques, art galleries, trendy hotels, vintage thrift stores, and much, much more. The Urban Wine Trail cuts through the heart of The Funk Zone and any tour will pair well with the abundances of delicious fare followed by some lively nightlife.
