G86 Racing: Lap Timer

G86 Racing turns your iPhone or iPad into a GPS lap timer for cars and motorcycles: track days, club racing, motocross, rally and rally raid, hill climbs and sprints. It times every lap and sector, measures every corner and shows you what to work on next. Your fastest lap is still out there.

PRESS START. JUST DRIVE.
• Circuit laps, or point-to-point runs from a start line to a finish line
• Pick a mapped track, or drive a learning lap or run and G86 places the timing lines
• Live delta to your best lap, with last and best lap times
• Sector colors: purple for a session best, green when you beat the lap before, amber when you were slower
• Metric or imperial units
• Works offline at the track

EVERY LAP. EVERY SECTOR.
Each session keeps its laps, sector splits and theoretical best on your device. The track map shows your line with every corner numbered.

FREE TO START
Guest mode times your laps and keeps your session history on the device, no account needed (onboard video is not included). A free account adds three onboard videos, the track editor and one Pro demo session with analysis, overlays and exports. Team is free for 7 days for new accounts, with every feature.

FIND THE TIME WITH PRO
• Race-engineer-style telemetry comparison: up to four laps or runs overlaid on speed, time gap and g-force
• Corner analysis: entry, minimum and exit speed, lateral g and exit gain for every corner, lap by lap. Name and edit your corners
• Lean angle for motorcycles: a live gauge, a video overlay, charts in replay and compare, and maximum lean per corner
• Charts of speed, g-force and elevation, a g-g diagram, sector analysis and session comparison
• A coaching report made on your device, not in the cloud: visual tips and a corner scorecard, even from a single run
• Full cockpit: live charts, G-meter, predicted lap and your own layouts
• Replay with onboard video, and 720p or 1080p video overlays with a drag-and-drop layout, altimeter and corner guide
• Export CSV, MoTeC i2 CSV, AiM CSV, RaceChrono (VBO) and JSON; import CSV from MoTeC, AiM, RaceChrono and VBOX
• Cloud sync and a web pit wall, so your crew can follow the car live in a browser
• ECU and external GPS over MQTT: 15 ECU profiles, including Speeduino, MegaSquirt, Haltech, MaxxECU, ECUMaster, Link and MoTeC, via the G86 car logger or your own MQTT broker
• CarPlay: race panels, rally timers and a roadbook of the next corners
• Apple Watch: lap alerts, rally tripmaster with Digital Crown correction, speed-zone alarm, moto clock and complications

RUN THE CREW WITH TEAM
A shared workspace with invitations and roles, telemetry comparison with teammates, event plans with runs, stints and checklists, parts stock, setup revisions and the driver debrief on the pit wall. Each teammate needs their own Pro subscription.

YOUR FOOTAGE STAYS YOURS
Original video never uploads. It stays on the device that recorded it.

SUBSCRIPTIONS
Pro and Team are auto-renewable subscriptions, billed monthly or annually. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. G86 is a driving aid, not official timing or a safety system. Check the event's track configuration and timing lines before driving. GPS accuracy depends on your device, its mount and the conditions.
