Generation Handball is the friendliest handball festival in the world: based on a strong handball tournament, Generation Handball also offers lots of events and activities, which is why we call Generation Handball a festival. We put focus on team spirit, tolerance, and friendship for handball players.
All events and activities are based on our three pillars: FUN FIGHT FRIENDSHIP!


The festival takes place every summer in Viborg, Denmark, and you’re guaranteed an international atmosphere with over 20 nations represented.

- What is the purpose of the Generation Handball app?
The purpose is to deliver accurate, active and time sensitive information of the guests of Generation Handball Festival. The festival stretches over 1 week where we engage athletes in the Team Handball sport, and with thousands of athletes/players, coming from 20+ countries, participating in hundreds of games, the accuracy of having access to the right information at the exact time is very important. Our schedule is very tight, and all of our guests have access to this information at the festival site.

- Who is the target audience of the app?
The target audience is the registered guests of Generation Handball.


- What interactive features can be found in the app?
The Generation Handball App provides interactive and time sensitive information to the guests of the festival. The guests have access to updated schedules for all the activities, logistical details, games/match details, information about rules, meals and much more - and with our very busy schedule we provide the relevant information using Push Notifications to the guests that subscribe to it.


- What about Push Notifications?
We provide Push Notifications to the users of our App for different times and reasons. As the festival is very large and busy, we provide various Push Notifications with details to our festival users. Examples: Where to eat the included meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) as this may vary and change troughout the festival. We also provide Push Notifications for events and change of schedule during the festival, including it's location. The Push Notifications will be sent to the users during the festival in real-time.
