Ghat Racers

Nine hairpin bends, rain on the windscreen and lorries coming down the hill. Ghat Racers puts you on a mountain road in Kerala's Wayanad ghats: the Thamarassery churam climb, past Lakkidi view point to Vythiri.

DRIVE THE GHAT BUS OR RIDE A BIKE
• Ghat Bus: heavy, wide, owns the road. Real gears, air brakes and a proper horn.
• Thumper: the slow thump of a big single. Fast and heavy.
• Zippy: light and quick, leans hard into the bends.
• Scooter: easy to ride, slow on top.

THE RULES OF THE GHAT
• Honk before the blind bends.
• Overtake when the road is clear, and score near misses.
• Clean bends and a quick time earn bonus points.
• Stop at Lakkidi view point for a chaya, walk to the railing for a selfie.
• Miss a bend on the bus and you go over the edge. On a bike you have three helmets.
