Description
Every day, everyone in the world gets the same twenty letters. There's a sentence somewhere in there.
Glomp is a daily word game with a pulse and a personality. Twenty letters drift onto your screen as physical objects — different sizes, real weight, tumbling and clustering around a creature in the middle. That creature — it's shrinking. It's hungry. It's Glomp. And it will absolutely tell you what it thinks of your last word.
FEED IT OR LOSE IT
Tap four letters or more and submit. A real word gets swallowed, and the shrinking stops for a while — three seconds per letter. A four-letter word buys you a moment. A nine-letter word buys you half a minute. Go quiet for too long and it collapses.
THE LETTERS DON'T SIT STILL
No grid. No neat little tiles. Every letter is a physics object that drifts, bumps and clumps. Tilt your phone and the whole board leans with you. Drag the Glomp around with your finger to go hunting.
And a word only counts if its letters are actually touching the Glomp, or chained to one that is. So a nine-letter word isn't a vocabulary flex — it's getting nine circles into a line while they wander. Can you do it?
TODAY'S SENTENCE
Along the top sits a row of empty circles: a short aphorism hidden in today's letters, with only its shape showing.
Hold a blank and the letters that word needs come swimming toward it through the crowd. Tap it to send your selection. Get it exactly right and those letters lock into place — and the Glomp swells back a notch, buying you time you didn't have. Guess wrong but play a real word anyway and it still counts toward your day. Nothing you spell is ever wasted.
GRADED ON WHAT'S ACTUALLY THERE
A typical day hides well over two thousand valid words, so your score isn't a tally — it's a percentage of what today's letters can genuinely make. Long words count for far more than short ones because they're far harder to build. Anything near 100% is a serious performance.
Words are checked against Princeton's WordNet, so plurals and irregular forms land the way they should.
THE SAME TWENTY, ALL DAY
Each day's pool is fixed, hand-checked, and identical for every player on the planet. Play a word and its letters come straight back. You never run out of letters — just words. Each word counts once, so the easy ones go early and the hunt tightens as you go.
IT TALKS BACK
Glomp is not a silent partner — it's audibly delighted when you turn up something good. (You can turn that off if it interrupts your flow.) Underneath, the music climbs a tempo every time it shrinks — by the end you can hear how little is left.
BRAG ACCORDINGLY
Finish and you get your streak, whether you caught the day's sentence, the standout word you found or missed, and where you placed against everyone else playing today. Share the whole card as an image, anywhere you like.
