GoBirdie — GPS Golf Caddie

GoBirdie is a completely free golf GPS and shot tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch. No subscription. No ads. No hidden fees. Everything runs on your device — no account required.

Know Your Distances
Live yardages to the front, pin, and back of every green, updated continuously from GPS. Tap anywhere on the map to instantly measure carry distances over hazards or plan a layup. The map automatically rotates tee-to-green so the hole always reads naturally in front of you.

Track Every Shot — Hands Free
Mark shots with a tap on your iPhone, or let your Apple Watch do it automatically. GoBirdie detects your swing via the accelerometer and records the shot without touching a button. Every shot is captured with GPS location, club selection, distance to pin, altitude, and heart rate.

Apple Watch, Built In
The Watch app runs independently with background GPS and an always-on display. See live distances at a glance, mark shots, log putts, and navigate holes with the Digital Crown — all from your wrist. A full-screen club picker with auto-submit timer keeps things moving between shots.

Courses Worldwide, Offline
Search and download from thousands of courses via OpenStreetMap. Detailed hole geometry including fairways, bunkers, water hazards, and rough rendered directly on your map. Download before you play and use it completely offline — no signal needed on the course.

Review and Fix Your Round
After each hole, your shots appear on an interactive map with club-colored pins and distance lines. Tap any hole in your scorecard to open the shot map. In edit mode, drag pins to correct positions, add missing shots, fix club selections, reorder shots, and adjust putts. Your stats — GIR, longest drive, putts, and penalties — are calculated automatically.

Scorecard & History
Every round is saved with a full per-hole breakdown: strokes, putts, penalties, and score vs par. Weather conditions are recorded at round end. Browse your history, compare rounds, and swipe to resume any round you ended early.

Sync to Desktop
Pair with the free GoBirdie Desktop companion app over local WiFi — no cloud, no account. Your shot data, GPS coordinates, club selections, and biometrics sync wirelessly for deeper analysis and historical tracking on a larger screen.

Built for Real Golf
Supports 9-hole and 18-hole courses, back nine starts, and any starting hole. Auto-saves every 30 seconds so a crash or restart never loses your round. Idle detection checks in after 30 minutes of inactivity. Portrait lock keeps the screen stable in your cart or pocket.

GoBirdie is free to download and free to use — forever. If it earns a spot in your bag, a small tip in the app helps keep development going. Entirely optional, always appreciated.
