Description by Nicholas Glidden(from the App Store)
Golden helps you make the most of every sunny day — safely.
Real-time UV, a smart tanning timer, and every session logged to Apple Health. Golden knows your skin type, your SPF, and where you're tanning, so every estimate is personal to you.
Your UV, on your Home Screen Widgets put today's UV index and hourly curve where you'll actually see it — four sizes, matched to your app theme, tracking the sun through the day on their own.
Know when to go out Today's UV at a glance, with an hourly forecast, sunrise and sunset, cloud cover, rain chance and feels-like temperature. See exactly when UV peaks — and when it's worth waiting.
Tan smarter, not longer Golden calculates a safe exposure window from your Fitzpatrick skin type, your SPF, and whether you're at the beach, the pool, or in the backyard.
Flip reminders that actually help Golden times each side and taps you when it's time to turn. Front, back and sides tracked separately, so you can see exactly how your session broke down.
Follow along from your Lock Screen A running session appears in the Dynamic Island and on your Lock Screen as a live flip countdown — no need to keep the app open, or keep checking your phone.
Vitamin D, estimated and saved Every session produces a Vitamin D estimate from UV and duration, written straight to Apple Health alongside your time in daylight.
Made yours Eighteen colour themes. Your default SPF, your usual spot, and an alert when UV turns dangerous.
Golden is a sun-awareness tool, not a medical device. All estimates are guidance. If you have a skin condition or take photosensitising medication, speak to a dermatologist.
