Description by Charles Gerber(from the App Store)
Good Vibes Only. Measured in smiles per hour.
A map of small good moments, pinned where they happened. Zoom out and your city glows where good things keep happening. Zoom in and every pin is a tiny true story. Someone paid for a stranger's coffee. A kid held the door for two elderly people. Old hippies danced with 20-somethings at a concert.
A good vibe is whatever you want it to be. Kindness, service, good times, or just something that made you smile. Whether you saw it, received it, or did it yourself, it belongs on the map. The only rule: no bummers.
HOW IT WORKS
• See something good? Pin it. Press and hold the map right where it happened, or tap the green + button to pin it where you are. Add a few words or just tap Quick +1. • Not there anymore? Search it. The search bar sits at the top of the map, so you can pin something from across town or across the country. Pick a venue, like a cafe or a shop, and it is already tagged when you post. • Love to see it? Tap it. The spot glows brighter and the vibe stays on the map longer. • Vibescrolling: open the map and read what went right nearby. The opposite of doomscrolling. • List it: one tap lists every vibe on your screen, newest first. Zoom all the way out and the list covers the whole map. Tap See it on the map and the map flies you there. • Share it: turn a vibe into a vibe card made from its words (never a photo), ready for Instagram or Facebook. X and Threads open with the post already written. Or just copy the link.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
• It maps good, not people. No followers, no likes on you, no leaderboards of humans. The only competition is between places: Hot Spots shows where the map is glowing brightest this week. • Anonymous by default. Your name never shows unless you choose it, one post at a time. Pick I did it for your own good deed and your name always stays off • No ads. No selling your data. No background tracking. The only location we keep is the spot you chose to pin, and addresses show the street, not the house number. • Every post is screened, and you can report any vibe or block its poster. • Browsing is always free, no account needed. Sign in with Apple, Google, or email to post, love vibes, and grow your Glow. • Notifications are yours to choose. When someone loves your vibe, or new vibes land near your recent pins, one tap takes you straight to it.
GLOW
Every pin and every "Love to see it" earns Glow. Level up from New Glow to Beacon, earn badges, and keep a weekly streak by noticing one good thing a week. Quietly. Nobody's keeping score but you.
Every week in a row you post or love a vibe ties a belt in kindness, white through black, and your highest belt stays on your profile for good. Miss a week? The next streak starts fresh at white, no guilt.
THE MAP IS ALIVE
Vibes fade after about 90 days unless people keep loving them. What you see is what is glowing now, not an archive of then.
Dark mode is built in. Pick Auto in Settings and the map goes dark after sunset.
THE FACE
Our icon started as a real accident. During early testing, pins over Central Park formed a smiling face on the heatmap, and it became the whole identity. Put enough good on a map and it smiles back.
Started in New York. Growing wherever people notice good things.
