12×12 の正方形の盤面にブロックを積み、列をそろえて消していきます。ここまでは落ちものパズルの定石どおりです。GRATET が違うのは、一定の間隔で盤面が 180 度ひっくり返ることです。
■ ひっくり返った先は、崩壊か、連鎖か
反転すると、それまで下に積んでいたブロックが天井側へ移り、つながった塊は形を保ったまま落下してきます。積み木が崩れるように、盤面が丸ごと組み替わります。
きれいに積んでいたはずの土台が穴だらけになることもあれば、抱えていた穴が反転で解消して一気に消えることもあります。「いま消すか、反転まで待つか」を毎回選ぶことになります。反転を織り込んで積むと、崩れるはずの盤面が連鎖に変わります。
■ 反転は、相手に撃ち込む武器になる
CPU対戦では、列を消すと相手の盤面をひっくり返せます。おじゃまブロックはせり上がってきません。代わりに、相手の積み上げたものが上下逆さまになって崩れます。
送れる回数は消し方で変わります。1 列ずつ消してもほとんど効きませんが、4 列まとめて消せば 4 回ぶん撃ち込めます。守りながら削るか、リスクを取ってまとめて撃つか。押し合いに勝ち、先に相手を積み切らせた方の勝ちです。
■ 勝敗と内容で動くレート
CPU対戦の記録はスコアではなくレートで残ります。強い相手に勝つほど大きく上がり、弱い相手に負けるほど大きく下がります。
負けた試合も評価します。競り合って押し返せていれば下がり幅は小さく、一方的に沈めば大きく下がります。「勝てないけれど、前より競れている」が数字に出るようにしてあります。
■ 遊びやすさ
・ボタンはありません。画面をなぞるだけで動かせます
・片手で遊べる縦画面
・アプリ内課金はありません
・プレイ中に広告は割り込みません（タイトルへ戻るときのみ表示されます）
・オフラインで遊べます（ランキングと広告の表示のみ通信を使います）
・Game Center のランキングに対応（サインインしなくてもすべての機能が遊べます）

・ひとりで — 定期的にやってくる反転に耐えながらスコアを伸ばす
・CPU対戦 — よわい / ふつう / つよい の 3 段階。反転を撃ち合う
