GuardRail: Screen Time Pause

Sometimes you pick up your phone for a quick look and realize much later that you never meant to keep scrolling.

GuardRail gives you one gentle pause before an app you selected opens. It does not judge you or lock the app permanently. Continue when you need to, or leave when you do not. The choice stays yours.

Getting started is simple:

1. Choose one or two apps you most want to open less
2. Turn on GuardRail
3. Pause and choose the next time one of them opens

GuardRail includes:

• A gentle prompt before selected apps open
• Separate temporary access windows and daily counts for each app
• Rules you can pause or adjust at any time
• A home-screen orb that responds naturally to device orientation
• Light, dark, and system appearance
• Dynamic Type, VoiceOver, and Reduce Motion support
• Full Simplified Chinese localization

No account is required. Your app selections, rules, and counts stay on your device. Device orientation data is used only for the current home-screen animation and is never saved or uploaded. GuardRail has no ads and does not track you.

All core features are free. Optional ¥8, ¥28, and ¥88 consumable purchases let you support independent development. They do not unlock features or digital benefits.

GuardRail requires Apple's Screen Time and Motion & Fitness permissions. Screen Time scheduling may introduce a small delay before a shield is restored.
