[About Halal Lens results]
Halal Lens retrieves product information from the barcode (JAN code) and compares the ingredients with our own ingredient database. Ingredients that are not in the database are analyzed by AI, and that data is regularly checked by our team before it is added to the database.
Ingredients may have changed since a product was registered, so for a more accurate result we recommend taking a photo of the ingredient list on the package.
AI is also used to read the text in photos of ingredient lists. Final results combine human checks and AI, so they are not always correct. We cannot fully guarantee the accuracy of the results and accept no responsibility for them. If you find an incorrect result, please report it so we can keep improving our database.

We created Halal Lens so that Muslims in Japan can enjoy a wider choice of Japanese products. Non-Muslims can also use it to choose food and souvenirs to enjoy with Muslim friends, and restaurants can use it when developing menus. We hope to help build a future where people from all over the world can share a meal at the same table.
