Hanzibloc: Write Chinese

HanziBloc teaches you to write Chinese characters by hand, on iPhone and iPad.

Most characters are built from smaller blocks. Learn the blocks once, and every new character becomes a puzzle you can solve: 木 + 木 = 林 (a grove), 亻 + 木 = 休 (to rest).

HOW A LESSON WORKS
• Meet the character: watch the stroke order, hear it, see what it means and the words it makes
• Trace it: each stroke is checked as you write, and the block you are writing lights up
• Write it from memory: the guide disappears; get stuck and a hint shows the next stroke
• Learn the words: as soon as you know every character in a word, you meet it and trace it
• Finish with a sentence: every unit ends with a full sentence made only of characters you know
