Description by Menachem Gottlib(from the App Store)
Hasmada helps you keep track of what you're learning and how much time you spend on it. Log a session in under 15 seconds, see your progress over time, and actually finish the seforim you start.
What it does:
- Log learning sessions by subject (Gemara/Daf Yomi, Halacha, Mishna, Rambam, Mussar, Chitas, and more), with how long you learned - Track where you are in a sefer -- amud by amud, daf by daf, perek by perek - Daily streak counter using the Hebrew calendar, and knows about Shabbos and Yom Tov (your streak won't break) - Set a daily learning goal and get a reminder so you don't forget - See stats: weekly totals, monthly breakdowns, per-sefer progress, heatmaps - Earn milestones when you hit learning goals -- first session, 7-day streak, first siyum, and more - Make a siyum when you finish a sefer - Share learning tracks with your chaburah or community
Seforim catalog:
Pick from seforim across categories -- Shas, Mishna, Halacha, Mussar, Chassidus, Tanach, and others. Or add your own custom sefer with whatever structure you want.
Built for frum Jews:
The app uses proper Torah terminology. It follows the Jewish calendar for streak protection. Daf Yomi, Chitas, Rambam and other learning cycles are built in. Toggle Eretz Yisroel Zmanim.
