You start with an empty field and the three people you picked. Every survivor has a name, age, job, personality and skills. They eat when hungry, sleep when tired, and when their mood hits bottom they may break down crying or run off with your supplies. You set work priorities and decide what to build. They figure out the rest.
[GROW YOUR BASE]
- Start with walls, doors, beds, a stove, fields and workbenches, then move on to stone and steel, electricity and modern buildings
- Mark areas to chop, mine, hunt and deconstruct
- Collect books and documents to research generators, lights, auto-turrets and more
- Order weapons, armor and cures at the workbench ("make 5", "keep 10")
[THE NIGHT COMES]
- At night the infected rise from nests scattered across the map and pound on your walls
- Destroy a nest and the area around it becomes safe
- A bitten friend gets back up a few hours later. Isolate them, stay with them, or end it
- A friend who turned keeps their name and clothes
- Raiders, wolf packs, fires, disease and rotting corpses
[PEOPLE]
- Personalities and relationships: friends, lovers, rivals
- New survivors knock on your door. Take them in or turn them away
- Share meals at the table and rest by the fire
[THE WORLD]
- Present-day Earth with no one left. Cracked roads, abandoned gas stations and convenience stores, power poles, vending machines
- Pick where to land on a 24x16 world map and send expeditions for supplies and survivors
- Day and night, rain, fog, snow and storms
[HOW TO PLAY]
- Four difficulty levels (Easy to Apocalypse) and a no-infection mode
- Tutorial included
- Three save slots plus autosave
- English and Japanese
