Heicho

Heicho (Swiss German for 'coming home') is the location app for two. Not for the whole family, not for a friends list – just for you and your partner. You see each other on the map and know when the other one is coming home.

MORE THAN A DOT ON THE MAP
Heicho shows what a location means: “Home since yesterday 6:00 PM”, “Work since 8:15 AM” or “on the move near Main Street”. You also see the battery level and when the last update arrived. When your partner is on the move, their icon glows on the map.

PRIVATE – REALLY
• No sign-up: you connect with your Apple Accounts.
• Your data is stored only in your own iCloud accounts. The developer runs no server and can’t see anything.
• No ads, no tracking, no analytics.
• Locations are only shared when both of you agree – and one tap disconnects you again.

SHARED PLACES
Add places like home, work, school or your parents. Heicho automatically lets you know when one of you arrives or leaves – both ways.

NO SIGNAL? NO GUESSING
If your partner’s iPhone doesn’t send a location for more than five minutes, Heicho automatically saves the spot where they were last seen. Once the connection is back, you learn where and when the signal was lost.

PRECISE WHEN IT MATTERS
Normally the location updates every two minutes – easy on the battery and in the background too. When you need more, turn on high accuracy for 5 to 30 minutes with updates about every ten seconds. Afterwards Heicho switches back on its own.

YOUR ICON
Choose a letter, a symbol or your own photo with a frame color. That’s how your partner sees you on the map.

GOOD TO KNOW
• For iPhone, in English and German
• Both of you need an iPhone with iCloud and Heicho
• For updates in the background, Heicho needs location access set to “Always”

The name is a tribute to the Swiss children’s song “Ohne Znacht is Bett” by Schtärneföifi – because it’s best when everyone makes it home.
