BENEFITS FOR WORKERS


Using Helpz is completely free – there is no charge to advertise your services on Helpz.
Helpz welcomes professionals, tradespeople and other service providers.
Because it’s free to use, Helpz is ideal if you’re retired, returning to work, starting your career, part-time, a student or apprentice and want to put your skills to good use.
You input your skills, experience / qualifications and your prices.
You receive a notification when a customer connects with you.
Once you connect with a customer an interactive map shows you where they are and can provide directions – so you can use your time effectively.
When a job is completed customers rate your work, building you a reputation.
Customers are invited (without any obligation) to make a charitable donation, reflected on the worker’s profile, so future customers can see how your good work has raised money for charity.

BENEFITS FOR CUSTOMERS

The best way to find trusted workers is from recommendations by friends and your community – with Helpz you can build a similar, but wider network of workers.
Workers you can find on Helpz are those who have been recommended or rated by parents at nearby schools and others in your local community.
Our aim is to raise money for charity, so Helpz is designed to assist you to find good workers in your community.
You can search for workers across a wide range of skills – from Plumbers to Pet Care; Locksmiths to Lawyers; Handymen to Hairdressers; and Taxis to Tech Support.
Because it’s free to use, in addition to professionals, Helpz also attracts people with skills who want to work flexibly (e.g. those who are retired or work around other responsibilities such as childcare) and may offer their skills cheaper than full-time professionals.
You choose the type of worker and level of experience you want.
When you’ve selected a worker, you can see the postcode where the worker lives before choosing whether to make a connection.
You’re in control of your privacy and you choose whether or not to share your postcode with a worker.
When a job is completed we ask you to review the worker and invite you (without any obligation) to make a donation to charity, if you wish to do so.





BENEFITS FOR CHARITIES & GOOD CAUSES

The aim of Helpz is to raise money for charity so it’s free to use and, since workers don’t pay to advertise, they can provide good value.

Helpz receives nothing from the money donated – and all donations from customers are safely made through the link to “Just Giving”.

If customers wish to donate via Helpz, you register once with “Just Giving” and it’s then quick and easy to make any future donations once a job is done – to say thank you to the worker and help Britain’s favourite charities.

Through the link to “Just Giving” charities can also benefit from the Government’s Gift Aid Scheme – so for eligible donations the charity can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give at no cost to you.

If donations are made by higher rate taxpayers through the Gift Aid scheme, donors can also claim additional tax relief personally – and the “Just Giving” website explains how this is done.

Helpz also enables support for Community charities / good causes through “Just Giving”.
