Herd Advisor: Cattle Records

Heifer 47 calved at dawn. You're standing in the mud with gloves on, both hands busy. You say: "Hey Siri, cattle record with Herd Advisor." Then say your record. Done. No clipboard. No box top.

Here's the rest of that morning. The calf needed a pull, so you speak the calving record right there — ease score, dam, all of it. Two pens over, a few steers look snotty, so you say "Treated tags 708, 711, 710 with Baytril" and the app logs all three, withdrawal dates included. You're at the far end of the place with no signal — doesn't matter. Herd Advisor works offline and syncs on its own when you're back in range. By lunch you're at the kitchen table, and every record from the morning is sitting on a Records for Review screen. You glance over it, confirm it, and it's saved for good.

That's the whole idea: records get made where the work happens, not transcribed off a notebook three weeks later.

What it keeps track of:
- 13 record types by voice: calving, treatments, weights, sales, movements, deaths, and more
- Calving with ease scoring, expected calving dates, and pregnancy confirmation
- Weaning and weight records with growth tracking; dam and sire parentage
- Treatments with medications, vaccines, and withdrawal tracking
- Sale records with pricing, death records, custom groups, photo attachments
- Batch operations: bulk treatments, weaning, pasture moves, status changes
- Unlimited animals, unlimited pastures (status, rotation, reminders), unlimited farms with cross-farm views
- CSV import and export, plus a full activity log
- Team access — workers and family share one subscription

If you want market help too, the Complete plan adds the Cattle Market Guide: price forecasts built from 250+ livestock auctions.

Built by a lifelong rancher who got tired of record apps that weren't made for the way the work actually goes.

Cattle Record Guide is $14/mo. Herd Advisor Complete (records plus market guide) is $18/mo. Try either free for 14 days — long enough to run it through a real stretch of calving season and see if it earns its keep.
