Husk: Memento Mori

You have less time than you think.

Husk is a brutally honest screen-time app for people who are tired of being lied to. No green checkmarks. No cheerful streaks. No friendly nudges. Just the truth, in serif type and monospace numbers, on a black screen.

THE CONCEPT

Pick the apps that waste you. Husk seals them behind a deal you set: how many minutes a day you get, what it costs to reopen, how long it stays open. The cost is paid in Life, minutes earned by doing something real. Run 10km. Read 20 pages. Call your mother. You set what counts and what it is worth.

The math is simple: earn minutes by living, spend them by scrolling.

THE FEED

Instagram and YouTube, inside Husk, stripped down to what you came for. No Reels. No Shorts. No endless anything. A reel a friend sends will play, but it will not scroll onward. Your accounts, your follows, your messages. Just less of the machine.

WHAT'S INSIDE

• The Memento dashboard: sunsets remaining, weekends remaining, days lost this year, the years you will give to scrolling. Fed by your real Screen Time data.
• The House Rules: one deal for every sealed app. Minutes allowed, Life to reopen, how long it stays open. Set a custom deal for any app. A meter on every card shows the minutes already burned.
• Earn Your Life Back: define your own tasks and what they are worth. The honor system. Cheating only cheats yourself.
• The Ledger: every minute earned, every minute spent, in a stark transaction history.
• The Pause: for Pro, five held seconds and the weeks you have left, standing between you and every unlock.

PRIVACY

Your screen-time data stays on your device. Husk reads it through Apple's Family Controls framework, built so that not even we can see which apps you lock or how long you scroll. The app includes one third-party SDK, Meta's, used only to measure whether our ads bring people here. iOS asks your permission for that first, and saying no changes nothing about how Husk works.

SUBSCRIPTION

The feed and the clock are free. Sealing apps is Pro:

• Weekly: $2.99/week (3-day free trial)

Memento mori. Remember that life is finite. Live like it.
