Description by Gracyn Conner(from the App Store)
Hygiene Hippie: Video Modeling & Visual Schedules for Life Skills Hygiene Hippie helps therapy teams train staff, support parents, and promote client independence using video modeling and visual schedules. Designed by an occupational therapist, Hygiene Hippie provides a structured system for teaching hygiene routines, daily living skills, and other life skills across home, therapy, and community environments. Clinics, therapists, and families use Hygiene Hippie to create step-by-step routines that help individuals practice skills consistently and build independence over time.
Why Hygiene Hippie Many individuals struggle with daily routines not because they lack the ability to learn them, but because supports are inconsistent across environments. Hygiene Hippie bridges therapy and everyday life by giving teams and families a shared system for practicing routines outside of sessions. By combining visual schedules with video modeling, the app helps reduce prompting, support consistency, and reinforce skill development between therapy visits.
Designed to Support Teams and Families Hygiene Hippie helps: • Train staff with consistent visual demonstrations • Support parents with clear routines they can follow at home • Promote client independence through structured video modeling and visual supports This makes it easier for therapy teams, caregivers, and families to work together to support meaningful participation in everyday life.
Features Video Modeling Integration Attach videos to individual steps so users can see exactly what to do. Custom Visual Schedules Create structured routines for hygiene, self-care, and daily living skills. Flexible Routine Builder Adapt routines to match each learner’s needs, pace, and environment. Routine Practice Support Schedules can be used daily to reinforce consistency and independence. Works Across Environments Use the same routines across therapy sessions, home practice, and everyday activities.
