Idiot - Palace Card Game

Idiot is the card game Norwegians learn at the cabin or in the school yard. The rest of the world knows it as Palace, Karma or Shed. I made this version so I can play it with friends wherever they are, each on their own iPhone, iPad or Mac, and against the computer when nobody else is free.

Play a card equal to or higher than the top card, or pick up the whole pile. A 2 resets the pile. A 10 burns it, so do four of a kind, and then you play again. Empty your hand first, then your face-up cards, and last the three face-down cards, which you turn over blind and hope for the best. The first one out wins. The one left holding the most cards is the idiot.

PLAY WITH FRIENDS
Invite up to three friends through Game Center. The round starts as soon as one of them has joined, and AI players can take the empty seats. Everyone swaps cards with the table at the same time, and play starts when the last one taps Ready. Tap Rematch to go again at the same table, and the end screen keeps count of who has gone out first. If someone loses the connection, an AI player keeps their seat warm until they are back. Three of the achievements are only for games with friends.

PLAY ALONE
Take on one, two or three AI opponents on easy, normal or hard. They have names and a bit of personality, and they pick up the pile without sulking. No internet needed, so it works on a plane or at a cabin with no coverage.

LEARN IT IN ONE ROUND
Never played Idiot? The tutorial plays the first round with you and explains the moves as they happen. The full rules are in the menu when you want to check something.

FOR KIDS, ADULTS AND SENIORS
Three themes with their own look and their own opponents. Leo the Lion and Bella Bear sit at the kids table, and the senior theme has larger text and Churchill as an opponent.
