Description
Something just landed on your arm. There's a spider in the bathtub. Your kid is holding a caterpillar and asking what it is. Does it sting? Is it venomous? Can you touch it? Is it a pest that's about to move in?
Point your camera at it and know in seconds.
Insect Identifier by Picture tells you what the bug is and whether it's safe in a few seconds. One tap opens the camera, one tap takes the shot, and Coco, your ladybird guide, walks you through the answer: safety first, then look-alikes, fun facts, seasons and the full story. Photos from your library work too.
WHAT ONE PHOTO TELLS YOU • Its name, common and scientific, with an honest confidence meter • Is it safe? Harmless, use caution or can be dangerous, and whether it stings, bites, is venomous or irritates skin • Look-alikes and the clues that tell them apart: brown recluse or harmless house spider, honeybee or yellowjacket • When and where to look: season, habitat, what it eats, size and range • Field notes on how it lives and the role it plays
ASK COCO "Will it spread through the house?" "Can it hurt my dog?" "How do I explain this to my 6-year-old?" Ask Coco follow-up questions about your find and get a straight answer. Recent conversations stay for two weeks after you last use them, then they're deleted.
FOR EVERY "WHAT IS THAT?" MOMENT • At home: spiders, stink bugs, bed bugs, cockroaches, beetles • In the garden: pest or helper? • On walks and hikes: ticks, caterpillars, wasps and bees • With kids: a curious question gets a real answer Insects, spiders and more: beetles, butterflies and moths, bees and wasps, ants, ticks, caterpillars, snails, slugs, centipedes, millipedes and pill bugs.
YOUR COLLECTION • Every species you meet becomes an illustrated sticker card • Rarity comes from how often people really observe it, so rare finds shine • A monthly challenge of three bugs that are out right now • A count of the harmless bugs you met and left in peace • Share any find as a collectible card
In English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Japanese, Korean and Arabic.
PRO Pro unlocks unlimited identifications and unlimited questions for Coco. Every identification you get includes its safety answer, the full field guide and a card for your collection.
