Itqan: Hifz & Quran Memory

Itqan (إتقان) helps you memorize the Quran — and actually keep it.

Memorizing is the easy half. Retaining 6,236 ayahs for a lifetime is the real work, and that's what Itqan is built for. Every ayah you learn is scheduled for review at the precise moment your memory of it would begin to fade, using FSRS — the modern spaced-repetition system. Ayahs you know well come back rarely; ayahs that slip come back soon. A few focused minutes a day is enough.

HOW IT WORKS
• Learn new ayahs in order, with recitation playing on loop as you read
• Hide the text and recite from memory, revealing word by word to check yourself
• Review due ayahs from a real hifz cue: the ending of the ayah before
• Grade yourself honestly — Again, Shaky, Solid, Flawless — and Itqan schedules the rest

BUILT FOR HIFZ
• The complete Quran, offline: all 114 surahs in Uthmani script with English translation
• Verse-by-verse recitation from 5 renowned reciters, saved on your device after first listen
• Loop any range of ayahs on repeat — the classic memorization drill
• Download a whole surah's audio for offline use
• "Needs attention" spots the ayahs that keep slipping and drills just those
• Juz coverage map, streaks that forgive a missed day, and a gentle daily reminder
• Start from the short surahs, from Al-Baqarah, or build your own queue
• Already memorized surahs? Mark them known and they join your review rotation
